He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Flaherty graduated from Boston College and Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Maine Medical Center and his Residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at the University of Rochester in New York. Dr. Flaherty completed a Head and Neck Fellowship at Roswell Park Memorial Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. He joined Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates in 1981.
