The native place for Dr. Daniel Shell is Jackson, Mississippi, where he was born and grew up. In 1974 Dr. Daniel Shell graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical school in 1974. He finished his general surgery training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. After this he completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Tennessee at Memphis.
In 1981 the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons awarded Dr. Daniel Shell with "outstanding Resident Award".
