He is in the process of authoring a textbook on Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In addition, he is a frequent contributor, lecturer and participant in national and international Plastic Surgery symposia and conferences. At present, he is an Associate Editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. Dr. Friedland has a special love for children and an interest in correcting congenital deformities. As a result, he has traveled to third world countries performing correction of congenital cleft lip and palate deformities. He is presently Chief of Plastic Surgery in the Children's Rehabilitative Services of Arizona.
