She entered medical school at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, and became one of only a select few female physicians invited to enter the University's General Surgery Residency. She completed a Hand and Microsurgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and successfully completed the University's highly sought-after Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency. She is one of the very few female plastic surgeons in Connecticut to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of The American College of Surgeons and The American Society for Aesthetic Surgery.
